Autumn is here, and the Drakensberg is more stunning than ever! With cool, crisp air and clear skies, it’s the perfect time to explore the breathtaking mountain landscapes.

A big congratulations to all the winners of our Cathedral Golf Club Championships in March! Thanks to Club Chairman Matthew Mayo and everyone who participated. We can’t wait to do it all again next year!

As winter approaches, imagine unwinding with a glass of sherry by a crackling fire in Albert’s Bar, getting lost in a good book in the cozy lounge, or enjoying our delicious winter buffets—pure relaxation awaits.

If you’re joining us for Easter, we can’t wait to welcome you!

THE STORY OF FREDDY THE FROG

In 1939, a fine-looking Frog was born and took his place in the hotel’s first fountain, greeting guests as they arrived. As the hotel grew, he moved to the new Koi Pond. Over time, weather took its toll, leaving him cracked and worn. Freddy was lovingly restored by regular guest, Peter Robson, some years back and now welcomes guests with his signature smile as you enter reception.

Inspired by his adventures, our complimentary Kids Activity Book (available at reception) is filled with a froggy hunt, word searches, mazes and more, ensuring endless entertainment for your little ones.
