Whether the event is a day meeting, overnight conference or multi-day retreat, the package structure gives organisers a clear way to bring together conferencing, meals, facilities and the wider resort experience. Stay and Dine at the Resort

A conference at Cathedral Peak Hotel can begin in the meeting room, but some of its most valuable moments happen around it: over breakfast, during tea breaks, at lunch, after dinner, in the bars, or in quiet conversations between sessions.

For conferences with delegates staying at the hotel, buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner are included as part of the package structure, along with mid-morning and afternoon tea and coffee with baked confectionaries. This creates a smoother experience for multi-day events, retreats and groups travelling from different areas, with the resort team supporting the practical rhythm of the stay.

The setting also supports less formal connection outside the conference room. Meals, refreshment breaks, bars, outdoor spaces and resort facilities give delegates opportunities to continue conversations, build relationships and spend time together throughout the event.

Here, the conference becomes more than the formal agenda. It becomes shared time in a mountain setting, supported by generous hospitality and the ease of having delegates gathered in one place.

Activities That Bring Teams Together

The Drakensberg has a way of changing the energy of a gathering. It gives people space to step away from routine, see one another differently and reconnect beyond the usual meeting table.

Cathedral Peak Hotel offers team-building activities and entertainment options that can help extend the conference experience beyond formal sessions. Current options include theme evenings, gala dinners, private braais, helicopter flips, Zulu dancing performances, potjie competitions, karaoke evenings in Harry’s Bar, an Amazing Race-style activity around the hotel, horse rides, hikes and trails with Bushman painting sites and bird watching, golf, quad biking and a wide range of on-site activities and adventures.

These experiences give teams a chance to connect in a different setting. Delegates can step away from the meeting room, spend time outdoors, take part in shared activities and experience the Drakensberg as part of the event. This helps a conference at Cathedral Peak Hotel feel connected to The Ultimate Drakensberg Experience, not only to the formal agenda of the gathering.

onference delegates can combine meetings with team-building, dining, outdoor activities and time in the Drakensberg.

Meet in the Mountains

There is something powerful about bringing people together in a place with space around it.

At Cathedral Peak Hotel, the mountains do more than surround the conference. They help shape its pace. Away from urban centres, the family-run resort offers a quieter setting where delegates can focus on planning, strategy, team connection and shared goals without the usual rush pressing in.

Between sessions, delegates can experience more of the resort through buffet meals, tea and coffee breaks, bars, break-away spaces, guided hikes, team-building activities, helicopter sightseeing flights, golf, quad biking and time in the surrounding mountain environment.

Cathedral Peak Hotel’s conference offering gives delegates the opportunity to meet with purpose while experiencing the wider resort environment that makes the hotel The Ultimate Drakensberg Experience. It is a place where work has room to breathe, and where shared time in the Drakensberg can become part of the team’s own story.
